Can't Get Late Registration
by Eva Suler
(Saland, Swizerland)
We were actually planing to go to Sydney for the WMG. We wanted to go with the whole family. We live in Switzerland ,we are Swiss citizens. I am also American and my husband is from CZ. We missed the deadline. I was in the US at the time and completely forgot. Of course I thought my husband would take care of it. He stayed home working. It turns out they will let me start in the 10k but he will not be allowed to enter. He is a kayaker and they will not do late registration for him. Granted we messed up and missed the deadline but that seems hard. We wont go to Australia in that case. Can anybody, anywhere help us? Disappointed

Carmel it's wonderful that you share your love of running and encourage and support others to enjoy all that running can give. Looking forward to sharing the track with you in Sydney 2009.

Opera Loving Runner
by Diane Palmason
(Comox Valley, Vancouver Island)
I'm a Canadian and registered for the WMG. I'll be running the W70+ 200, 400, 800 and 1500. I'm also an opera lover and have already purchased my ticket for Cosi Fan Tutte at the Sydney Opera House on October 14th! Hard to say which I'm more excited about. I'll be traveling alone, as my husband is dealing with Parkinson's and long travel is too stressful for him. I know a few people who will be going but it'd be nice to have an opportunity to meet some Australian women track runners. Maybe you can facilitate that? Meanwhile, I'll enjoy reading your posts about Sydney.
