There's nothing quite like the thrill of racing.
Standing on the start line with butterflies in your stomach, waiting to test out your training.
Thoughts flying around your head. Am I ready for this? How will I go today?

Competing gives us a chance to match up against our fellow runners. Let's be honest many of us love comparing ourselves to others.
But it's also highly individual. It's all about You. Chasing after a personal record or best is your own contest within a race.
Competing can help raise the bar on your speed training. Even if you're not in great shape, entering an event forces you to put in a good effort. No matter how hard you train there's nothing like performing in public. It's also a social event, hanging out with friends and meeting new people. Talking, laughing and perhaps grumbling about our running, training, our sore bodies, the weather.... Whatever your goal competition gives you an incentive to train and stay in shape. It's an opportunity to stretch, grow, get outside your comfort zone and live a little on the edge. Tips Where to Find Events Women Only Masters Competition
