Congratulations!

by Karla Del Grande
(Toronto, Canada)

Mary is an inspiration! She has achieved success in cross-country and on the track, and has great energy. What I also like about her is that she gives back to our sport, with her coaching and opinions that she expresses on Ken Stone's Masterstrack.com blog. Hope to see her in Kamloops in March!

Mary Harada is a role model and an inspiration to me - I can only hope that I can do the same for other women in the future. Thank you Mary for all the time that you give to Liberty Athletic Club!

Congrats to Mary

by Jane Rasmussen
(Tenants Harbor, ME)

IT was just a matter of time that Mary would be nominated for this honor. I feel honored to have been able to run with her in the US National x-country championship race at Stanford, CA many, many years ago. Keep it up Mary; you inspire all us old broads.

A Role Model

by Pam
(Arlington, MA)

Before meeting Mary a few years ago, I thought my running days were winding down. At age 43, I found myself running 5 days a week- then 4 days- then 3. "That's all I can handle at this age!", I thought. "I'm too creeky"; "I need more recovery days than running days!". Well, seeing someone almost 3 decades older than me pound away on the track made me realize that I'm just getting started! Mary has paved the way for many of us...

Mary as Inspiration

by Mary Kate
(Boston)

Cathy-Thanks for a great peek into Mary's life--She truly embodies the endurance of the competitive runner. To continue to embrace life, to motivate others to live healthy and active lifestyles, to set challenging goals and keep the bar high, and to continue to travel the world is an example I'll be proud to follow.
